Lessons Learned from Failed Entrepreneurship: Letting Go and Finding the Right Successor

Two years ago, we were able to achieve the first rank in our industry and we were overjoyed that we had taken the right path. However, we were unaware that these awards would not help us in the future nor could we predict what would happen next. Nonetheless, the platform that we won the award for grew so much in the next two years that we were having a new installation and registration every 4 seconds. We reached a point where we could no longer move forward on our own and I had to stop its development and prepare it for transfer to a company that had better conditions for its development.
With over 1 million users and more than 25 published applications with nearly 8,000 contents over the past two years, it is ready to become a commercial/advertising arm for other products in the children and youth sector.

This story is a common one in the world of entrepreneurship. You start off with a vision and work tirelessly towards it, making sacrifices and overcoming obstacles along the way. Sometimes, despite all your efforts, you reach a point where you can no longer continue on your own. It’s a tough decision to make, but sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is to pass it on to someone else who can take it further.
It’s important to remember that success isn’t just about achieving a goal, but also about learning from the journey and being willing to adapt and pivot when necessary. In this case, the platform achieved tremendous success but ultimately required a change in ownership for continued growth.
Entrepreneurship can be a challenging and unpredictable journey, but it’s also a rewarding one. It takes courage to pursue your vision, and even more courage to know when to let go and pass it on to someone else. Here’s to all the entrepreneurs out there who are navigating their own journey, making tough decisions, and making a difference in the world.
